I just finished mixing my new single off my upcoming album, "Dirty Licks". As a thank you to everybody here for their support here on the forum, I've made it available as a free download in .mp3 form. Enjoy! http://www.reverbnation.com/derekbuddemeyer/song/16263373-th e-lost

Cool. Were they all done on iPad, or just the single? Also, just out of curiosity, how were you mixing it? iPad there, too, or did you export? And, what was your monitoring setup? Thanks

And, what was your monitoring setup? Thanks I do everything on the ipad these days...this is a mix of JamUp Pro XT, Beatmaker2 (piano, drums...custom mapped kit) GarageBand mobile (beginning piano melody and bass) imported GB tracks to BM2...laid down drum tracks...Audiobus with JamUp in BM2 (beta version...not released to public yet). Then exported everything to Cubasis for a quick mix. Then exported to a desktop DAW for .mp3 conversion. Monitored through a mix of headphones (for late night recording) and a pair of powered studio monitors for initial mix (with various tests on different sound systems to get a feel for all around sound). It's quite the process but no worse than doing it on a desktop...in some ways, a lot more intuitive.
