Under a new strategy, InterDigital is forming an a? Innovation Partnersa? unit that will source technology/asset portfolios and relationships, by establishing, sealing and nurturing external engagements with individual inventors, start-ups, entrepreneurs, product companies, academic institutions, research organizations, VCs and more, to align with the rapid pace of development in Mobile Industry Ecosystems.

The preferred location for this position is Wilmington, DE but can be flexible to our other office locations.

Responsibilities:

Scour the landscape via meticulous and structured scanning to identify Innovation Partner Network candidates, untapped opportunities proactively and plan/maintain a full lead pipeline
Research and keep abreast of current/future technology trends as well as stay at the bleeding edge of mobile ecosystem/value chain, market dynamics, key players within and business models/intelligence
Assist in metrics based opportunity filtering/evaluation process to those gems that are high priority and can produce tangible results for the bottom line
Participate in strategic partner recruiting, long term relationship/alliance cultivation and maintenance
Be an internal advocate for Innovation Partners to improve collaboration and partner program experience
Support acquisitions/investments/transactions process to close complex deals

Qualifications:

BS/MS/PhD degree from a prestigious University in a quantitative field such as EE, Computer Science/Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or similar relevant degree with 4/5+ years of relevant professional experience
Strong Data Mining/Analysis Skills and Passion for Technology/Inventions are required.
Previous Experience in outreach roles such as Corporate, Business, Partner/Alliance Development and/or Investment Banking is preferred
Previous Experience in Innovation/Research Organizations and Intellectual Property Industry is preferred.
